Barbara Frazier's Paws in the Park Fundraising Page
In addition to my regular fundraising this year I am making a special push to be the top fundraiser. As many of my family and friends know, we lost a dear, dear animal loving friend recently. Gretchen Hoffman Maracle was a true animal lover. She adopted dogs and cats from the SPCA Serving Erie County over the years and donated her time and efforts to many worthy causes including animal welfare and the Ronald McDonald House. If I am the top fundraiser I will be given the naming rights to a dog kennel for the next year. I am hoping this can happen so that I can make this a memorial kennel to recognize Gretchen's life long love of animals.
Well here we are with our 25th SPCA Serving Erie County Paws in the Park walk. Wow! I have been a staff member at the SPCA for all of them!!
My work at the SPCA continues to be exciting as we all work together to improve animal welfare in our community and beyond. My job as Transport Coordinator sees me recieving dogs from many agencies locally, regionally, nationally and beyond! This past year we were in the very fortunate position to receive dogs from hurricane ravaged areas in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico. Lucky dogs, yes, but lucky Erie County community as well!
Working together with our community over the years has gotten us to this place, to be able to offer a new life, in some cases a life at all, to so many dogs. But that isn't all...we have, seasonally, been able to offer relief to some cats in overcrowded shelters locally, regionally and from Pennsylvania and Ohio!
I am so proud of the work we do and so proud of our supportive community.
Please join me again this year in my fundraising efforts for the 25th SPCA Serving Erie County Paws in the Park!!
Thank you!!!!
