Welcome to My Personal Page
For the 8th consecutive year, I will be participating the the SPCA's Paws in the Park. The first year we walked with our two beautiful puppy mill rescues, Ruby & Emma, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels - from the SPCA and rescued by Furever Friends. We also included our two 5-month old shepherd mix rescue puppies, Beau & Dee Dee. Emma has walked with me every year, we always stop by the Furever Friends booth, and they remember her! Ruby is living in Paris, France, literally a world apart from her days in an Ohio puppy mill.
Sadly, Emma will not be walking with me this year, as she walked her final journey to heaven in mid-January, free of pain and sickness and all her ailments. I believe the years she blessed our family, were wonderful years for her, I know they were for us. She was the sweetest, most gentle dog, who had endured so much. I walk for Emma, Ruby and every dog that has ever had to live even just one day in a horrible puppy mill. I walk so that one day, puppy mills will be extinct and no dog will ever have to suffer the abuse of horrific mill owners!
This year, I will be walking with Sophie, the newest addition to our family. She is a puppy mill survivor, a 7-year old cocker spaniel, who is adjusting very well to life outside of a cage!
Please help support all the dogs that the SPCA rescues! Walk with me, with or without your pet on Saturday, September 22 at Beaver Island State Park. You can sign up on our team page, and if you register before Sept. 1st, there is a $5 discount! There are tons of vendors, who will make your time at the event so worthwhile. And there are thousands of animals, who desperately need to be saved, and the monies raised will help give them a brand new, beautiful life.
